We just realized that the one year anniversary of our blog came and went on July 11th! So Happy Anniversary to us! We’ve been on vacation so we did not pick up our Fresh Fork bag for 2 weeks. Another great thing about Fresh Fork is that they offer you up to 4 weeks of vacation credits if you let them know in advance that you will not be able to pick up your bag. So we are excited to start spending our vacation credits by ordering some grass fed ground beef and rib steaks.
A few random Fresh Fork items…
Here is that puttanesca sauce we previously mentioned paired with the Ohio City whole wheat linguini. That pasta is the best! Our daughter loved the linguini (not with the spicy puttanesca, but with butter and fresh shaved parmesan)
We finally used those spelt berries that we received quite some time ago. Thanks to Dinner A Love Story who recently posted a recipe, we made a salad with the berries, tomato, red onion, corn and a vinaigrette. Delicious! That site never steers us wrong. We love you DALS.
And finally…holy cabbage! I wish you could really see the size of this thing. What are we going to do with this monster?
Coming soon…the review of Dante Boccuzzi’s new place in Akron that we promised, a recap of the Six Courses for a Cure event, and some of our favorite vacation eats from Saugatuck, Michigan.
