Le Petit Triangle

We recently went to Le Petit Triangle Cafe in Ohio City for a little brunch. It’s a cute little place and was pretty crowded on a Saturday morning.

Smoked Salmon Crepe

She said…We also had a ham and brie crepe, but the picture looked exactly like the one above (we should’ve taken the picture after we cut into them). I liked the salmon crepe better than the ham. I think it was the large amount of rind from the brie that I didn’t care for. I like a little bit of rind, especially if the cheese is of high quality, but this was a little too much. I found the crepe itself to be a little heavy. I wouldn’t mind going back to try some non crepe items on the menu. The little lentil salad they serve on the side is great.

He said…I thought the salmon crepe was really good. It was a generous portion, and the fresh dill and boursin paired well with the smoked salmon. The ham and brie crepe was not as flavorful as I thought it would be. I suspect it was the quality of the ham compared to other ham and cheese crepes I’ve had before.

Chevre & Strawberry Crepe

She said…I really liked this. It was not sweet enough on its own, but with a little of the syrup they served it with…just right.

He said…I thought the crepe was good, not great. I agree with She that it was better with the maple syrup. I would like to try the Chocolate Lover’s Crepe next time.
