We had a great weekend with some fabulous friends, food and wine. Here are some of the dishes that our friend prepared for us. She is the kind of cook that we aspire to be. She’s able to create some truly amazing food and makes it look so easy.
Friday night’s menu included…
Veal Piccata over tagliatelle
She also made a butternut squash soup with creme fraiche and virginia ham that I didn’t get a photo of before it was demolished.
Saturday night’s menu included…
Tomato Soup with puffed pastry
Caprese Salad (with the last of the tomatoes from her garden)
Pommes Anna (a dish of thinly sliced layered potatoes cooked in butter)
Smoked Beef Tenderloin
And of course some great wine!
